In Mid July we took a trip to Saratoga with a brief stop in the Berkshires. We went to the races for the first time ever. We were there for opening day. The town does a lot to celebrate the various races and attract tourists. Afterwards there are various entertainers in town: magicians, musicans, etc. Also traditionally but less so lately people dress up and wear fancy hats to the races and in town.
Also visited some sights in town and the Hyde Museum in Glens Falls, NY. definitely worth a stop. small museum with some great art. On the way home we stopped at Field Farm in Williamstown and the Flower bridge in Shelburne Falls, MA.
