Yala National Park was our first stop after landing in Colombo. We have to travel 8 hours by wheels along the costal route of the island to reach this park. We stayed at the Yala's Lodge. The food and bed were comfortable. We have to start our safari on 6 am every morning. Breakfasts were packed by the lodge staff.
The main target we were looking was the leopard. We only able to spot one in the night while we were on toll after one of our 2 jeeps broke down after chasing after a black bear. Althouh not a single frame was shot, able to see a wild leapord was good enough.
