Haha, I agree; there ain't a lot to like about it, paticularly as it seems very cold in your neck of the woods.

B&W is an appropriately gray and dismal tone for winter. Though technically you could shoot winter in color and it would still come out pretty monotone...

I felt the same way, and left it 32 years ago. My family now resides in Minneapolis. I think they are nuts. The current temperature there is -11F!

Thhis is an AWESOME gallery! But at least there's snow. In the UK (and in Heidelberg, it's just cold, crappy, windy, gray, and (in the UK) horizontal rain for 8 months out of the year. B&W is perfect for this... The smoke stacks -- looks like a long exposure... nice...

Cool. Winter - just a distant memory now. In the broiling heat here I try to summon up that feeling of freezing toes. Black and white works really well for these snowy shots. V. Chris :)
