The other day I was doing a session for a little girl in Hannah’s class for Father’s Day. Hannah and her are good friends so Hannah came along. Hannah coming along then made Hailey come along so that she could be sure I didn’t, in fact, love Hannah more than her. Off we all went.

I started with pictures of Maddie. Things were going along great until Hannah pointed out that I am not taking pictures of her or Hailey. I, in turn, point out that I have a lot of pictures of them. Off we go, back to Maddie. A short while later Hailey points out that perhaps I am not taking pictures of her and Hannah because I may like Maddie more. “Fine” I concede. “Go stand in that tall grass.”

I click the shutter, look at the back, and realize that I may have captured possibly my favorite picture of Hailey ever. Almost like somebody was saying “Do what you have to do but don’t miss this day with the girls.”

For the rest of the session I incorporated the girls into it and I got a lot of great shots. Nothing compares to the one of Hailey though. I smile every time I look at it.

Sometimes you just need to be open to the possibilities I guess. To much focus, causes poor “vision”. I learned that on this day. I almost missed my favorite picture of Hailey EVER.

That would have been a sad thing.

A sad thing indeed.

This is phenominal. She is a beauty and glad you added them to your photoshoot. I will always tend to take pics of the other kids when I'm out on a shoot. You can get the best ones that way. I love this picture!!!!!
