Hazardous Condition - Tipsoo Abandoned Cistern

While visiting the Tipsoo Lake area I noticed a potential hazard to park visitors and wildlife. There is a 8ft diameter x 6tft deep abandoned and unused cistern (underground wood stave water tank) near Upper Tipsoo Lake. The cistern has some old boards covering part tank but there is also an unprotected opening to the tank. A person or animal could step into the opening or a elk could break through the entire make shift covering. The cistern is located at Lat 46.866742 Lon -121.513553 on 9/29/16
