Black Bear Cub

This baby bear was quite the unusual little guy. Yesterday, he had been separated from his mom and was frantically looking for her for hours and hours. At one point, we nearly ran over him on the nearby road. We were quite happy to discover this morning that mother and baby had been reunited.

But then this evening we first saw mom come through the area all by herself, followed by baby looking for her about 20 minutes later. Once again he was frantic and calling to her. We can only hope that once again they'll reunite before something unfortunate occurs to this little guy.
