These snowflake shots were taken on the night of March 19, 2006 using pretty much the same setup as with the previous gallery.

The tripod was stabilized somewhat and I tried a new "stage" for the snowflakes this time. I used a thin, clear plastic substrate with colored backgrounds behind it so that they'd be out of focus and less distracting. The idea was to get a more or less invisible or at least featureless background for the shots.
