2008-08-16 Lantana flowers and bees. My next-door neighbor has two huge Lantana plants, and they are often visited by butterflies and bees. Today, I decided to make an attempt to photograph the bees. I now have an immense respect for photographers of insects -- especially those insects which flit from flower to flower. By the time a focus is set, the insect is moving on to another flower. This gallery represents more than 100 shots...
Later in the day, I saw a couple of Dandelion flowers in my front yard. Upon closer inspection, there was a tiny bee doing its thing in one of the flowers. So I decided to try to photograph it.
