My thoughts are very much in the US today, 4 years after 9/11, just a couple of weeks after the Gulf Coast Disaster and my hopes and dreams, that with a bit of luck, I will be able to make my first trip to the States next year to visit my Sister Jean and her family who set up home in Wyoming some 50+ years ago.

It was my intention to show an image of the Stars and Stripes flying at half mast over the USAF base at RAF Alconbury, however the flag is flown in the middle of the base and I was unable to get into the base to take any shots, so I had to make do with this, it is located just outside the base about 10 yards from the road. I have removed with PS the sign that forbids climbing on the plane.
