Yes Michael, It was indeed a very overcast day. If it had been sunny I never would have gotten my wife to leave the resort. She prefer's to lounge around the pool soaking up the sun. Since the weather wasn't cooperating we ended up driving around in the rain. I was at least hoping we would find a rainbow somewhere but there wasn't even enough sun for that.

You know Jim, the more I look at this lovely church and its grounds, the more I think it must have been overcast.....after all, there is hardly a shadow to be found. And the more I look at the photo, the more I see how perfect the exposure is all the way around, and with incredibly good focus too. Regards, again, Michael.

Hi Jim. I really love the angle and colors of this gorgeous church and its grounds. I feel badly that the sky does not help the composition though. It may have been an overcast day, but my guess that the extra slow shutter speed was the culprit. Yes, put your camera on a tripod and set the shutter slow and you get some amazing color saturations in low light, but any bright lights become overexposed.....and so, that is what I guessed happened to the sky.....but then again, if was overcast and dark, you certainly got the most out of it.
