Clancy means "red" in Gaelic.

I kept going over and over the various names
and then realized what I kept thinking was,
"this kitten is Irish!" He's just so RED.
So I went to a couple of websites
with names for Irish children, and
the minute I saw the meaning of Clancy, that was it.
