Sequoia National Park – California

Sequoia National Park hosts many of the major Sequoia groves in the Sierra Mountain range and is home to the largest tree in the world, the General Sherman. Established as a national park in 1890 it also includes the highest point in the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney (14,494 ft).
