Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch – British Columbia, Canada

Our Caravan visited the Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch near Golden, BC, a working buffalo and guest ranch owned by Leo Downey. Leo explained the workings of the ranch and the details behind the current herd which includes its leader, Chester Jr., offspring of the herds first leader of 15 years, Chester. Leo also gave us information about the tendencies of buffalo and a herd as well as a demonstration of how to start a fire as the First Nation People have done throughout their history.
