Glacier National Park in British Columbia, Canada highlights the towering, glacier topped mountains of the Canadian Rockies. The park is easily accessible via the Trans-Canada Highway 1 which snakes through the park. The view from the Rogers Pass Summit showcases the best of the park with the Tupper and Swiss Glaciers to the north, and the Illecillewaet, Asulkan and Bonney Glaciers to the south. Also, since I visited at the end of August, runoff from the melting of the Illecillewaet Glacier created a large waterfall cascading into the valley below.

This park is also home to a historical site which honors the Canadian Pacific Railway and Trans-Canada Highway which both pass through the mountains at the Rogers Pass Summit.
