2017 Saguaro National Park – West

Being that Saguaro National Park West (Tucson Mountain District) is only ten miles from my winter home I consider it my “home park” and I tend to spend a lot of time there hiking the trails and, of course, taking photographs. So if you’ve been receiving my travel posts for at least the last few years then you’ve seen images of this park before. However, like a snowflake, it’s never the same as there are so many different types of unique plants and cactus in this area. For this reason it is a truly unparalleled place and I find it interesting every time I go out there. Then there are the animals and, because it is winter, primarily birds as most other animals are waiting for warmer weather to emerge from their dens. This gallery reflects my many treks through this incredible park over the last few months.
