Chattanooga - Tennessee

On my way to Atlanta I traveled to Ringgold Georgia to visit my old friend David and his wife Deb and they took me on a tour of nearby Chattanooga and its picturesque waterfront area. With Lookout Mountain as a backdrop and the Tennessee River to build around the city has done a magnificent job of making the area into a tourist and local recreational destination. The crown jewel is the Tennessee Aquarium with its unique design but even that is challenged by the Hunter Museum of American Art which is perched on the cliffs overlooking the river. Add to that the distinctive bridges crossing the river to Coolidge Park and the shops and restaurants that surround it and you have a very attractive and well developed space for locals and visitors alike.

We also took an early morning ride on David’s boat so that he could do some fishing and I could shoot the city from a different perspective which yielded some great images and a few fish…David would like everyone to know that the fish pictured in this gallery is much larger than it appears!
