Congaree National Park - South Carolina

Congaree National Park in central South Carolina protects the largest contiguous area (24,000 acres) of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the United States. I spent two days hiking the trails through this spectacular forest (April 23 and 24, 2012) and came away with the realization that I probably would not be able to do it photographic justice but I tried anyway…
