We waited 7 hours to get shots of the SP Daylight X4449 as it rolled into Durand, Michigan on 07-19-2009. One of the most beautiful steam engines still running on the rails of America today. The stop at Durand was to let off passengers from Chicago. From Durand it headed up to Owosso, Michigan for the 2009 Train Festival. After the festival it makes its way back home to Portland, Oregon. This is, or was truly a once in a lifetime chance to see a piece of amazing American railroading history...
