At this point there's nothing to do but hold your breath and wait to get spit out at the bottom. I was washed under for several seconds twice, then went through a field of small waves before I was in calm water. It was a pretty tough ride, but in retrospect it was fun and I'm glad we opted for "The Bad Place." The other boat opted for the easy route and it was an uneventful pass for them.
