You are looking at the heart of the historical center. Look at the population density! One cannot even pick out the streets, except for Corso Umberto, which runs diagonally in the upper right of the photo. The large church in the center is Santa Chiara. Behind it is a large square cloister with gardens. It is very beautiful, with painted ceramic tiles and hanging vines. There is also a museum and ruins of some roman baths. This photo displays the great color and architecture of Naples. Down on the streets, the culture, sounds, and smells are just as rich!
