Ripping Up Cedar Planks

It all started with the exterior door. Water infiltration damaged the subfloor, which required me to rip up some of the vinyl. Once you rip up part of a vinyl sheet, the rest must come out, too. The vinyl pulled with it chunks of the cedar planks under it in the old part of the kitchen. So, all the cedar planks had to come out. The cabinets are on the planks, requiring me to a) remove all cabinets or b) cut out the planks at the kickboards. I chose plan b). What a bitch. The transition from the old part of the kitchen to the addition is not very even, so I will have to resolve that as well.
