The Bay of Fundy on the north shore of Nova Scotia is famous for having the highest tides in the world. We stopped at a couple of places, including the Grand Pre peninsula, Margaretville (also called Margaretsville), and Port George. While the bay is quite sandy in the upper part of the bay, it is much rockier further west. The exposed mudflats at low tide attract birds looking for an easy meal, including shorebirds, gulls, and even a bald eagle; the rockier coast further west is a better for finding seals basking on the rocks.
