Although we visited the Grand Pre peninsula twice, our timing was off both times. The first time we stopped by the tide was completely in, and while we did see hundreds - possibly thousands - of shorebirds, they were restless and kept flying off in huge flocks of hundreds of birds. The second time we were on our way to Halifax and the tide was completely out. I saw one flock of about ten shorebirds fly by, and one possible Least Sandpiper on the shore.
