We saw a number of puffins on the water before finding these ones on the rock face of one of the islands. I got my lifer in 2008 on a whale-watching tour in Brier Island, NS, but there was only one puffin and it was difficult to photograph with both the bird and the boat bobbing up and down on the waves. I was pleased to finally get a photograph of this species.
