Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis)

Shirley's Bay, Ottawa

I saw my first Blue Dasher at Shirley's Bay today along the causeway beyond the first island. Then I noticed six more - all males! It's amazing how these guys have popped up all over Ottawa this summer.
