You will need to gather all of the choice bits when doing a bike. I have Magura levers, Motion Pro throttle/cables, Protaper bars, 1" bar risers, tall seat off a M121, Progressive 12 shocks, new springs/seals in the forks, RK chain/new sprockets, new brake shoes, new headset bearings, UFO plastic etc.
The engine is off a M86 that I bought from a Yahoo Bultaco forum member. It was rebuilt by Pac NW Bultaco Guru Roger Landburg and has low time on it. This turned out to be much more economical than rebuilding the M101 engine. Plus it is a 250. Circle F pipe. Mikuni Carb/new petcocks/tank Casewell epoxy sealed. Uni Filter/new air boot.
All the hardware was replated using a Caswell Copycad kit. I plated the footpegs, kickstand, and brake pedal for durability.
The swingarm was rebushed and shimmed so the metal pivots do not turn and wear into the frame. Grease fittings installed.
The hubs/bearings/wheels were in good condition, so all they needed was a good cleaning and grease.
