Mercurio Restoration

Some pics of the work it took to get this bike back on the road. It got new engine seals, top end decarboned, carb rebuilt, new air cleaner foam, nos charging and ignition coils, lights rewired, speedometer hooked back up. I found a Kit America pipe with a nice J&R silencer, which I think gives the bike a bit more power. All of the aluminum was polished, the forks got new seals, new headset, and everything was generally cleaned up. The seat got new foam. It took me a year to find an old cracked rear fender. I repaired it and repainted it, and fabricated a tail light bracket as close as I could come to what came on the bike. I added a rear brake switch and am running the tail light off of the lighting coil rather than using resistors and running it off of the ignition coil. I think this is a better setup.
This Mercurio was already in running condition, so it was not a huge job.
