This is a Bultaco M199 Sherpa T. This was the pinnacle of Bultaco observed trials motorcycles. There were a couple of modifications made to this model, but it is pretty much the end of the Bultaco line.
I picked up this bike to practice trail riding techniques. It always amazes me how a tree acrossed a trail will get people's panties in a knot. It does make for some good videos though.....I have some logs etc behind the house to practice on, and it really helps on the trail.
My M199 was in pretty good shape. I had to do replace the crank seals, adjust the clutch, and replace the Bing Carb with a Mikuni. It runs much cleaner now. I also put some Pursang fork springs in, and added a 1" spacer in the rear shocks to firm things up. The tank has been replaced along with the petcock. I also made a skid plate to protect those tender cases.
