Around Reykjavik

Many well-known landmarks of Iceland are located around the area of Reyjavik.
Blue Lagoon, which uses the natural thermo to heat the water, and because there are so many rare materials in the water, it is said a bath here could bring you more energy and health.
Pingvellir national park, lies on a rift valley created by the movement of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, which tears the land apart. But more lavas from the volcano beneath the earth fill out the valley immediately, which continuously enlarge the size of the island. Imagine: some day, Iceland could maybe reach the European mainland.
Geysir is sleeping since 1930, and no one knows when it would be awake again. But Strokkur is still active, and erupts every 10-15 minutes to a height of 20-30 meters.
Gullfoss, the name means the golden falls.
