Thanks for your comments...the digital camera I used has a 10x optical zoom so although I couldn't get too far, I still had the opportunity to get in pretty close without having to make him aware of me. He still did see me and waved me "no," but I persisted and took a little break and snuck the camera back up. With most of these shots though, I still go up to people and ask them first 'cause a lot of people don't see the point in you wanting to take their picture...it's as simple as that. So sometimes I have to explain that I'm a photographer, or taking photography lessons or just working on a project, etc. Good luck and thanks for checking out my stuff...your pictures are really nice too...Jesse
