This was the ending point of the boatride at Tam Coc wharf, before it turned back on the return journey to Van Lam wharf. From here, you can go further to Bich Dong Pagoda, a combination of three charming pagodas on the lower, middle and upper levels of a pretty mountain, from where you can catch a panoramic view of the paddy fields between the limestone cliffs of the Truong Yen mountain. A scene of the popular French movie "Indochine" starring Catherine Deneuve was completed here in 1991, a reason no doubt for the remarkable number of French tourists to this area which I encountered on the trip.
