Located at the eastern shore of Kandawgyi (Royal Lake) in Yangon, this floating restaurant was constructed in the early 1970s and designed after the distinctive 'pyi-gyi-mun' barge that belonged to Burmese loyalty. A multi-tiered pagoda sits on the barge, the double bow of which depict the mythological 'karaweik', a water bird from Indian pre-history.
