You can hear and feel the waterfall even before you see it. This is downstream of the waterfall which is just around the bend of the river. The crashing sound of the water plunging into the pool at the bottom of the fall, and the heavy mist of water droplets thrown up by this which rises high up into the air, would be your first sensory impressions of the waterfall as you walk down the mountainside towards it.
