Guizhou is one of the less developed and poorer provinces in China. It was opened to tourists only in the late 1980s.

I joined the tour with some uncertainties. It turned out to exceed my expectations in all aspects. The tour covered the centre and southwestern part of the province, centered arond the cities of Guiyang, Anshun and Xingyi. The beautiful natural scenery and attractions of the area are among the most impressive and memorable of the many places I have visited.
