“Impressions of Monet” – an exhibition celerating the life and art of Claude Monet, held inside the super-sized conservatory called the Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay, will be opened to the public from 12 Jul 24 – 17 Sep 24.
“The Impressions of Monet: The Garden” floral display as shown in this post aims to recreate scenes of Monet’s home in Giverny, France, which features prominently in many of his paintings, including Monet’s iconic pink house, the house’s adjoining garden Clos Normand, and the Water Garden, complete with the distinctive green Japanese bridge often associated with Monet.
The scenes from Clos Normand and the Water Garden are brought to life with a vibrant, thoughtfully curated plant palette that includes flora similar to those found in Monet’s original gardens, such as hydrangeas, weeping willows, digitalis, daisies, delphiniums, and geraniums. Water lilies – the eponymous subject of one of the artist’s most renowned works, the Water Lilies series – also debut in the floral display for the first time in the Flower Dome.
