A closer look revealed this one tree had taken root in a crevice and is obviously the only offshore perch available in the area. From here the birds launch their air raids for surface fish offshore, then ferry their catch to a waiting brood onshore in the treeline, then return here to prepare for another raid. All the birds are males.
