We had 5 full days of top notch birding with Jarol Fernando Vaca who has expert knowledge of the birds and wildlife of this area. We got close to 300 species of birds including spectacular birds like Salvinīs and Nocturnal Curassow, Rufous Potoo, 5 species of Macaws,
7 species of Tinamous, 8 species of Manakins, Fiery Topaz, Ash-throated Gnateater, Spotted Puffbird, Black Bushbird, Lunulated Antbird, Yellow-throated Flycatcher, White-crested Spadebill, Wing-banded Antbird, Rufous-headed Woodpecker and many others. Other creatures included spectacled caimans, peccaris, tapir, black agouti, paca, yellow-bellied spider monkey, woolly monkey, titi monkey, red howler monkey, coral snake, lots of frogs and lizards and finally an anaconda along the river.
