Full of emotion, full of drama. This unfinished story is compelling. Superb. V

Incredible shot with such a narrative of longing, being left alone in the rain - very powerful,

I like photos like that, posing a question, instead of giving an answer.

How come I have not seen this image before?
Probably one of your best if not the best shot ever.
Like a still in a movie. I'm not gonna elaborate because
the image says it all, even without the caption.
Totally awesome! V

I love the line where the rain starts...and she's just on this side of it. Beautiful shot! ~V~
Guest 21-May-2007 16:28

ML17-May-2007 19:43
Very poignant image! And it also looks like she's protected from the rain, like the rain won't get her.
Guest 15-May-2007 17:36

Context is everything here. Without that title, this would be a very sad photo, but extremely powerful at the same time.

With the title, it's like saying, "it's raining too hard, I'll wait here while you go find the umbrella, or go get the car"

Great job. I love it!
Guest 16-Apr-2007 04:00
This is excellent, Jen. Not only the image is well balanced, well exposed, well composed, but there is really a time dimension to it, with this guy walking without rushing in the pouring rain. Bravo!
Guest 16-Apr-2007 03:27
wow wow wow...this is a spectacular shot jen! this says so much and it's great!
Guest 15-Apr-2007 22:14
A really emotive picture,Jen,stunning! Worth a vote for life!! V
Jill15-Apr-2007 19:08
In full agreement with the other comments. This too is so evocative. A feeling of isolation and betrayal..as she stands alone. Or at least that is my feeling upon viewing. The rain adds to the overall mood. Excellent work here Jen.
Deborah Lewis15-Apr-2007 16:44
Beautifully done and agree with ALL the comments! GMV!
Cindi Smith15-Apr-2007 13:41

Wow this is a great shot I really love it.
Robbie D7015-Apr-2007 08:18
Excellent shot, one of your very best with such mood oozing forth. The title fits superbly
but this is strong and shouts for itself, without any title. There are lots of elements
within this that I like. The row of trees and wall forcing the eye into the distance.
The height which keeps the girl small yet close up, with the adult in the distance again
adding perspective. Lastly the wet streets add atmosphere. All making an excellent shot
well done. There are a few things that could improve this even more in my opinion I will
put them together for you later.
Dan Chusid15-Apr-2007 05:09
Great atmosphere and positioning in this one and I can see
why everyone is raving about it. It's THAT good.
It not only tells a story (looks like "I'll wait here" actually means
till the rain subsides) but it looks like a real movie still as the eye is led
from SB standing there, right through to the man walking in the rain
and into the distance and alongside that nice receding row of trees.
Masterful shot and easily among your finest.

A wonderful story in this shot - excellent!
Dave Wixx15-Apr-2007 03:27
This a superb shot. You can see the frustration in the dropped shoulders not being able to go out to play, or seeing a loved one leaving again, or.................. It paints so many scenes.
Wonderful.
R. Walls15-Apr-2007 03:09
I agree with everything already said. One of your best.
This pic grabs you and rips your heart out.
The impression is of the child left behind.
~V~ Probably one of my all time favorites, period!

You're artistry is really shining!!!

I love this series with Bug. I think you have a budding actress on your hands. This is my favorite yet. The trees and the wall make the walk look so long. VVV
Guest 15-Apr-2007 00:27
wow, there is something so intriguing about this shot, but you cheat, you have a bug to pose in your shots :)
J. Scott Coile14-Apr-2007 23:15
Smart move ;-) I'm starting to connect with this series!
