There has been quite a drought of snowboarding in my life for the past few years. On the rare day that I got out in the winters, I spent it ice climbing. The expense was low...just some gear that lasts forever. No need to pay for a lift ticket. Two feet and a lot of grunting got us up through the woods to our chosen frozen waterfall.
But, this year, I have decided to go back to a sport where gravity is the friend, not foe. I reached into my garage and cupboard to collect the compulsory items. In addition, I've gathered my enthusiasm...I hope that I don't forget to pack the common sense.
