Most of us live in a very "off-the-self" world these days. Mass production is the wave of the present. I have to admit...I do love the covenience...COSTCO is my grocery store.
Today, I had a chance to spend a bit of time in Paul's shop. My good friend makes braces and articifial limbs for people who have run into unfortunate circumstances. These devices replace the function and often times the physical presence of limbs that no longer function correctly (or are completely absent). They become part of that patient, and nothing off-the-shelf could fulfill this role. What Paul does is true art...art that shines and sings throughout the day of each individual that it graces.
