Evelyne has many, many talents (in addition to being a wonderful friend). One talent that never ceases to amaze me is Evelyne's ability to remember names. It usually goes something like this...
Me: "I just saw a movie with that guy in it...you know...the guy who always has that silly grin."
Evelyne: "Oh, you mean Matt Damon."
Me: "Yeah, that's it. And that other movie. The one with that woman...you know...the much prettier verson of Sarah Michelle Gellar."
Evelyne: "Hummm, Scarlet Johansen?"
Me: "Yeah, I think so. Maybe? Anyway, the voice of Simba from the Lion King is so familiar...I can't place it."
Evelyne: "Oh, you mean Matthew Broderick."
Me: "No, he sounds too old."
Evelyne: "Wait, you mean cub Simba...well that was Jonathan Taylor Thomas of home improvement fame."
Me: "I guess so."
Evelyne: "Well, too bad they wouldn't let Matthew Broderick sing in any of the Lion King movies. Don't know if Joseph Williams and Cam Clarke were the best choices."
Me: "Wow..."
Anyway, you get the idea.
I discovered Evelyne's secret today. She does research and stays up with the literature. Here is Evelyne reading her "People" magazine.
