Meet Alexis...
I did just a few months ago when she started helping out with the kids in our adaptive rock climbing program. Being an occupational therapist, she was able to bring much to the sessions. Many people may be asking why kids need "occupational" therapists since there are plenty of child labor laws keeping children out of factories and such. Occupational therapists address much, much more including those skills we all need to get through our day-to-day lives...such as eating meatloaf.
Well, I'm glad that I bumped into Alexis today because she is heading off to the Cook Islands, somewhere in the South Pacific, no doubt to help out individuals there. I don't have the details and I'm disappointed that I didn't get a chance to collect them.
But, I wish her a safe journey filled with adventure (with a minimum of mis-adventure).
