This was our last day in Joshua Tree National Monument. More than the beauty of the area and the challenge of the climbing, it has been the unique people with whom we have had the pleasure of spending the past few days.
These individuals have nourished my body and soul in so many ways. There has been a generosity that has kept my stomach from being hungry and my body from being cold. Their enthusiasm for climbing as well as life in general is contagious and has pervaded all corners of my existence. And, their good nature has helped me to reduce the complexities of life to its essence…to be good to oneself by being good to others.
