Little feet...these feet were so little.
Today was spent at the pediatric sedation unit at the hospital again treating children with cerebral palsy and other disorders. We seem to be there more and more and yet it still doesn't seem enough to keep up with the need.
These little children have already been through so much during their lives. Many of them have had so many IV lines that they have very few useful veins anymore. The nurses at this sedation unit are amazing and can somehow "squeeze water from a stone." They can find the tiniest of veins and hit them first try with an IV. I'm thankful for that because the better they are, the less pain the children have to endure.
P.S. Today also marks the day that my trusty Canon S400 suffered a fatal blow. It fell out of my pocket and hit the floor with a lot of force. After serving me so well for so long, I fear that I've done it in.
