You sometimes see what you don't expect.
Turkeys in suburban New Jersey? I was surprised the first time I saw them but I've now gotten quite used to them. They, however, have not gotten used to me.
I guess it goes to show that adaptation is what is key. The turkeys survive because they go along with their own business, avoiding conflict. Their timidness works for them in this busy environment. They are so careful that it is hard to grab a good photo, especially from my little point-and-shoot camera. Then again, life isn't just about surviving. It's about experiencing.
