Note: Almost there. 1 more photo and the "upload-catch-up" will be complete!
One thousand one hundred and seventy-seven crewmen lost their lives on the U.S.S. Arizona when this battleship was sunk at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It was an event that was so important in defining a generation. Being a member of a different generation, I feel almost guilty that I cannot fully understand the magnitude of the tragedy of the war that followed. That is why I felt it important that we take the opportunity to visit this memorial during our trip. Because I have been blessed with so much in life, I believe that it is important to never forget to mourn those times when so much innocence was lost.
