Cute ducks, how can anyone complain? Oh, or are they a gaggle of little geese? I guess that doesn't much matter here. These ducks/geese were photographed at a little lake by my home in Watchung. I thought I would keep it light an airy today. I have to admit, the trip to the lake didn't start that way. I was stepping carefully but still couldn't avoid the goose poop. Everywhere! Suffocating me! I was annoyed. I was even angry. That is until I saw the goose with his legs "shackled" by fishing line. He still got around, but it wasn't pretty. Yes, there are people fishing, and yes, they don't really eat the stuff the catch in the lake. So, I thought, wow, what a terrible price this goose pays for these people's recreation. Argh...guilt! Then I stepped on more poop and got angry again. Finally, I saw these chicks (which I hope applies to both baby ducks and geese) and I calmed. Again, cute ducks, how can anyone complain. After that, I was a little more at peace and went home. I discovered one thing today...I sure do cycle through emotions quickly. Maybe I need Prozac.
