This is the camera my Mother's Father used. According to his logs, in December 1940, he paid $35 for it, 36.17 if you add in the film. His rent was $8.50 a week, and he was paying 1.25/week to rent a car. Their gas and electric bill that week was $1.00 and they typically spent less then 10 bucks a week for food.
