Ranger leading wildflower walk

April 2, 2005

Did a wildflower walk in Sequoia National Park today. The flowers were beautiful and our guide very informative and helpful. He took a head count and then asked before starting back how many of us were going to stay behind to take pictures. Of course, myself and my friend Sue stayed. Two hours later we got back to the ranger station and went in the gift shop. Our ranger couldn't believe we'd just got back. He said he was glad he hadn't waited for us-- he would have missed his lunch.

Laughing...two hours doesn't seem to be that long. I know that I spent quite a bit more time photographing the wonderful display of wildflowers that we got last year.
