This dramatic building on the fashionable Passeig de Gracia began its life in 1887 as a residence for the Planas family. In 1941, after five years of conversion by new owners, Jose M. Padro and his son, the space became a live theater. In 1960, it was transformed into a 1,246-seat movie house. Since 1995, it has been a five-screen movie complex.
